Simple Layout with Journalling Spots
This layout is simple but intentionally echoes the mood and tones of the photo. I used brick orange cardstock as the base and layered a black-and-white patterned print on top for contrast. The photo is matted with the same brick orange card, accented by two labels and a fussy-cut flower in soft grey tones.
I kept the colour palette consistent with the photo to maintain a cohesive feel. I also added journaling spots to capture the story behind the image—why I took it, and what it means to me.
Including journaling on scrapbook pages is so important. It enhances the memory by adding context, details, and emotion—things a photo alone might not fully convey.
The patterned paper, labels, journalling spots and flower are all from Scrap a Sketch.
