Scrap Squad Scraplift #28 2025
This weeks's Scrap Squad Scraplift is an original by Kisha James for Paper Issues.
For my lift, I immediately thought of using it to scrapbook the annual photos of my granddaughter enjoying my birthday cake(s)! I do this as a few years ago, while tucking into a very large slice of chocolate cake, she exclaimed “Ooh, cake!”—and it made the whole family laugh. I’ve used that phrase as my title for these layouts ever since.
Now that she’s a bit older, she’s also decided that one slice isn’t enough - when asked what she wants she usually replies with "I'll start with ..." and this year she went for two: one chocolate, and one with strawberries & clotted cream!
I stayed very close to the original layout, especially since I had the large “Oh Yeah” title already in my stash. This title and the papers I used are from Vicki Boutin collections, which worked beautifully. I also added a couple of strips of washi tape from my stash, as the colours blended in so well with the rest of the design.
See my tip below for fussy cutting one flower and stretching the foliage either side of the photo on your layout.

| fussy cut a large flower and then cut off the foliage on the right so it shows on the other side of the photo |
