This was a scraplift for Scrap Squad in June 2025. The original by Valeska Guimaraes for Minty Papers, had rolled straws tucked under the photos which do add bulk to a page but I really don't mind that on my layouts. It also has torn paper which is one of my favorite processes and really love the way it looks.
Here is how I tore and rolled my papers to create my layout.
Tearing my paper at an angle each side |
I chose the paper so that the flowers showed underneath once I rolled it |
I used a pencil to roll the paper |
Adding the same flowery paper underneath and making sure there was enough to fill the gap |
my photos are mounted on foam but with space top and bottom to add in the straws |
cut small pieces of contrasting green to make my straws using my pencil again |
rolled and stuck with double sided tape so they can fix to the page as well |
staggering the straws under the photos |
Scraplifting is to copy or be inspired from someone else's layout - scrap lifting is well received and common in the scrapbook community however it is best practice to give credit to the original creator who influenced you.
