How to - Reimagine a Shaker Frame

For my take on Scrap Squad Scraplift #30, I reimagined a shaker frame to echo the colourful panelled look of the original layout. Instead of using it as intended, I carefully deconstructed the frame, separating the perspex from its backing. This gave me a clean surface to work with, allowing me to add strips of washi tape directly onto the perspex and recreate the vibrant, segmented effect.

The transformation was simple but effective—turning a dimensional embellishment into a custom feature that ties beautifully into the overall design. The washi tape added texture and colour while keeping the layout light and cohesive.
